Earn
How Backers earn
On average, Backers keep 12.5¢ of every $1 line. Any round can lose.
No promised return
Any round can lose money, and one big win can cut the pool sharply. The numbers below are averages, not a forecast.
Launch settings
This page describes the settings agreed for launch on 24 September 2026. The test network still runs older settings; see Test network.
Where the edge comes from#
Prizes are set so that, on average, they pay out 75¢ of every $1 line. Another 12.5¢ goes to the referrer and Highroll’s fee. The last 12.5¢ stays in the pool. That is the Backers’ edge, and it’s how Backers can earn over time.
The odds are rounded so prizes never average more than 75¢. Between odds steps they average a little less, which leaves a little more in the pool.
A worked example#
Sell 1,000 different lines at $1 each, with the pool at an exact odds step.
| Step | USDT0 |
|---|---|
| Line sales | 1,000.00 |
| Referrer and Highroll’s fee | −125.00 |
| Added to the pool | 875.00 |
| Average prizes paid | −750.00 |
| Average left for Backers | 125.00 |
“Average” means across many draws. One draw can be very different: most days the jackpot isn’t won and the pool grows; the day it is won, the pool drops by a quarter.
Referrals don’t change the Backers’ share. The referrer’s cut and Highroll’s fee always add up to 12.5¢.
For developers
Allocations always add up to exactly the pool, so the average payout per unique line is the pool divided by all possible combinations: 75% at an exact step (for example 1,068,795 with 10 bonus balls), 70.17% at 1,100,000 (11 balls) and 73.10% at 2,500,000 (24 balls). Duplicate lines are left out of the example.
The risks#
- A jackpot win takes a quarter of the pool at once.
- Many rounds still don’t guarantee a profit.
- Withdrawals can be delayed when money is with an outside service.
- The contracts are not audited yet.
Fees#
Highroll’s fee is taken per line, out of the $1 price. It never comes out of your deposit or your profit.
There is no performance fee at launch. (The test network still charges 10% of profit at withdrawal.)
