FAQ
Short answers to common questions.
Playing#
How much is a line?
$1, paid as 1 USDT0, a dollar stablecoin. Your wallet also pays a small network fee. Check the price your app shows.
When is the draw?
Once a day at launch. The test network draws every hour. Your app shows the closing time.
How big is the jackpot?
Always 25% of the prize pool. It grows every day nobody wins it. There is no promised minimum.
What are the odds?
With a $1,068,795 pool (bonus balls 1–10), one line has a 1 in 1,425,060 chance at the jackpot, and about 1 in 12 of winning something. A bigger pool means longer odds. See Prizes and odds.
What’s the smallest prize?
The three smallest levels each have a $2 minimum in the draft launch table, as long as the pool can cover it.
Can two people pick the same numbers?
Yes. If those numbers win, the prize for that match is shared a little more thinly. Other winners with different numbers don’t change your prize.
Can I cancel?
No. Confirmed purchases can’t be cancelled or refunded.
Who can claim a winning line?
Whoever owns it. Sending a line to someone also sends the right to claim it.
Money#
Is there a fee on winnings?
No. Winners get the full prize.
Where does my $1 go?
On average 75¢ to prizes, 12.5¢ to Backers, and 12.5¢ shared by the referrer (8–10¢) and Highroll’s fee. See Who’s involved.
Can anyone back the pool?
Not at launch. Backing is invite-only: only Highroll and Backers it admits can deposit.
Do Backers earn a fixed return?
No. Line sales can grow the pool and prizes can shrink it. You can lose money, and withdrawals can take time.
What do referrers earn?
8% of the line price, rising to 9% above 250,000 lines a month and 10% above 1 million. The test network pays a flat 5%.
Can I refer myself?
No. The buyer and the line’s recipient can’t be referrers on the same purchase. The contract rejects it with BadReferral.
Apps and chains#
Can any app add Highroll?
Any wallet, exchange, game or social app can build on it. Each app is responsible for legal access, clear rules and user safety.
Is Highroll multichain?
Purchases can start on other chains through a routing service. The lines and the draw are recorded on Stable.
Can a coin play Highroll?
That’s the plan for launchpads: a slice of a coin’s trading fees buys lines, and winnings buy back the coin. It’s a proposal, not live yet. See Highroll-enabled coins.
Is Highroll on Robinhood Chain?
No. It could be a starting chain through a reviewed route, or a future deployment.
Status#
Is Highroll live?
No. It runs on the Stable test network only. There is no mainnet deployment.
Is it audited?
Not yet. No independent audit has been done.
What has the test network shown?
It uses a real SP1 Groth16 proof checker and passed 288 contract tests (1 skipped). The full proof-to-payment test hasn’t been run, and it uses older code than these docs.
Do Pyth and SP1 do the same job?
No. Pyth is meant to supply random numbers. SP1 checks the counts and prizes. The test network still uses a trusted operator for numbers.
