Run Highroll

Pausing and recovery

A pause stops new lines and deposits. Nothing already owed goes away.

What a pause stops#

The owner or guardian can pause Highroll. A pause stops new lines and new deposits. It is not a refund: lines already bought stay final.

Only the owner can unpause. The guardian can’t.

What keeps working#

  • Withdrawal requests and cancelling pending actions, with the usual timing checks.
  • Backer withdrawals and prize withdrawals that are ready.
  • Prize claims and referral claims.
  • Queue work, numbers, proofs and settlement.
  • Moving money out to the vault and back, by the approved roles.

Returning money#

The treasurer or treasury calls Gigapot.returnCapital. For the Earn Vault, the operator or owner calls EarnVault.repay, which keeps its books in sync. Once money is back, people retry unpaid prizes and Backer withdrawals.

Moving to new contracts#

  1. Pause. Stop new purchases and deposits. Keep every payout path open.
  2. Take stock. Read currentRound, settlementRound and unverifiedSettlements. Find every sold batch and any next round with bonusMax == 0.
  3. Finish every round. Settle earlier rounds first. Settle empty rounds through the empty-round path.
  4. Verify and open claims. Verify every early report and publish every claim tree. Settled isn’t the same as claimable.
  5. Bring money back. Return outside money through the approved roles, so old claims and exits still work.
  6. Publish the new contracts. Share reviewed addresses and ABI. Never move old lines or balances silently.
